Board Meeting minutes
October 4, 2019
Opening
The regular meeting of the Royal Garden Resort Homeowners Association, Inc. was called to order at 1pm on October 4, 2019 in HOA office by Penny Canady.
Present
Penny Canady, Harold Outz, Judy Parrish, Wayne Longbrake, Shelia Trull, Steve Pitzer
Approval of Agenda
The agenda was approved
Approval of Minutes
The minutes from previous meeting was not approved as written.
Open Issues
General Managers report:
Pool deck – pressure wash and repaint, check on a new color
Storm damage-Motion to notify homeowners for inside repairs
And start repairs. Judy motion Wayne 2nd all vote yes
Replace Steele doors- received quote from Commercial Openings, cost per door $490.00 plus $250.00 for installation, total $740.00 per door. 10 or more offer a better deal. Motion to send homeowners a letter about offer Judy motion Wayne 2nd all vote yes
Emergency roof repair- Repairs done by Monarch
New building color scheme- presented pictures from Sherman
Williams
Rules- new rules have been signed by president and secretary. Have been filed with Horry county
Emails- Parking update, agreed to speak with homeowners at annual meeting about our parking concerns.
Weapons- follow state law in sign placement. Motion to purchase 2 other signs. Judy motion Wayne 2nd all vote yes
Homeowners issues- items were discussed by the board
Attorney – Judy gave update. Gene Connell will speak with homeowners at annual meeting.
Balcony repairs- Work has started and with weather permitting last 10 to 12 weeks.
Vacancy sign- nothing new to report, is part of the lawsuit
Cooling tower- repairs were voted on by email. All vote yes
Gate Arm- longer arm has been ordered.
New Business
Discussed the agenda for Annual homeowners meeting
Committees – start homeowner committees, all agreed
Agenda for Next Meeting
List the items to be discussed at the next meeting.
Adjournment
Meeting was adjourned at 2:35 by Penny Canady. The next general meeting will be at 1pm on Oct.5 2019, in HOA office.
